This is Mike. If you’ve scouted through previous posts you’ll probably recognize him, but then again maybe not.
This is the third photo of Mike that I’ve taken; the first was in his crimson-colored apartment run by a slum lord. Today, the old apartment sits with boarded up windows in an overgrown grass lot that was once called home by dozens of people.
Each time I take Mike’s photo he gets really excited, the kind a kid has on Christmas morning. He always asks expectantly, “This time will it be in the paper?” He wants that five seconds of fame in his hometown newspaper so badly.
I’ll see what I can do Mike. I’ll see what I can do.
